20″ X 20″ Oil on Canvas 2016
The term Shadow Casting is taken directly from Norman McLean’s infamous book A River Runs Through It.  Later in the movie of the same name the character played by Brad Pitt creates his own form of fly fishing he called shadow casting.  Long repeated casts over the water were said to create shadows of flying insects and get the attention of the fish.  In this painting the water is moving swiftly and shallowly painted more in an impressionistic style.  All gallery wrapped canvas average 1.5″ thick and is painted black with hardware on back and ready to hang.  Express shipping and custom framing available on request.
