CACTI was painted from a photograph on my first trip to Old Town San Diego. Along this wall was a giant cactus in the bright sun with shadows almost black. I painted more shadows in this one than cactus. This painting would look good with a simple black frame or something elegant. All wood panel paintings average 1.5″ thick with sides painted black.
